Dunya IVF Clinic doctors Dr. Alper and Dr. Berk, have contributed alongside colleagues in recent research regarding the impact of endometrial thickness change in response to progesterone on live birth rate embryo transfers with fresh oocyte donation cycles. The study has been published in Taylor and Francis.
This is the first study performed with fresh oocyte donation cycles with a large number of recipients for live birth rate (LBR) outcomes in the literature so far.
The measurement of endometrial thickness is crucial when evaluating endometrial receptivity. However, as this research states, there is still controversy when considering the usefulness of endometrial thickness. The writers of this paper took it one step further and examined the effect of endometrial thickness (ENT) change in response to progesterone on pregnancy outcomes in embryo transfer (ET) of fresh oocyte donation (OD) recipients.
157 embryo transfers using fresh donated oocytes between January 2017 and December 2019 were used. All procedures were routine standardised procedures performed at Dunya IVF Clinic.
Results showed that there were no significant effects of ENT change on live birth rate when fresh young donor oocytes are fertilised with sperms having normal parameters, and implanted in estrogen and progesterone primed endometrium.
