Assessment of beta-hCG should be performed 12-14 days after embryo transfer in a labarotory determined either by you or your doctor.  If the test is positive it should be repeated 48 hours later to ensure that there is doubling which is an indicator of a healthy pregnancy.

IN CASE OF A PREGNANCY HOW AND WHEN SHOULD THE FIRST ULTRASONOGRAPHIC EXAMINATION BE PERFORMED?

If the beta-hCG is positive, an ultrasonographic examination should be performed 2 weeks later.
